BRIEF HISTORY OF THE TRIUMPH TR6
The Triumph TR6 is the
1960s Triumph Roadster's last evolution. Mission to
re-juvenate
the Michelotti designed body style was given to Karmann. The Triumph TR6 PI's power comes from
the 2498cc Straight 6 Cyl. with Lucas injection,
already fitted to the TR5 PI.
As for the TR250, TR6s exported to United States run
on twin Stromberg carburettors instead of petrol injection.
The
re-styling is a success. While
chassis remains, the body work is still well balanced, with straight
lines at front and rear ends where previous TRs curves are deleted. New
front grille and rear lamps give a modern looking.

HOW MUCH IS A
TRIUMPH TR6 WORTH ?
It
is not possible to give an accurate amount. Quote depends on condition,
and
version. Compared
to the previous versions, the Triumph TR6
is the most common 6 cylinders TR, built over more than 8
years. Indeed it is cheaper than a TR5 or a TR250.
